Because x-rays are safe and use such a small amount of radiation, they are typically safe for all of our patients. We only recommend x-rays on an as needed basis and you can request a copy of your x-rays at any time.

What happens during the Dental X-ray process?

The x-ray process will begin with a lead apron being draped over your body. This is a protective covering that is essential for preventing radiation from hitting you during treatment. Our trained dental professional will then place the x-ray device inside of your mouth and behind the teeth. The x-ray machine is angled at this machine and the image is taken. The x-ray then shows up immediately on our computer screens for careful review. You will find that the x-ray process is easy, quick and provides us with detailed images crucial for your dental care.
